Nutrition was not always my career and main focus, but it did influence everything I did. As a classically trained ballerina I understood food as fuel. Later in college, when I began having debailitating stomach cramps, food confused me and quite honestly, scared me because I did not understand the source of my chronic pain and anxiety.

After many tests and a few diagnoises later, I still had to fight through the daily stomach and joint pain. Shortly after school, I was using food as entertainment while I executed fine dining experiences at some of New York City's top event venues. However, behind the scenes, my protein shake and a few bites of hors d'oeuvres were not enough. My body started yelling "Pay Attention Please" and I listened.

After gathering a team of All Star health care practitioners - acupuncturists, gastroenterologists, dermatologists, orthopedic surgeons, naturopathic phsycians, I discovered a large gap - where's the Nutritionist?

I enrolled in a graduate program that focused on an integrative approach to health and dusted off my biochem textbooks. Through this process I learned techniques that not only helped me, but have helped others who are also feeling frustrated, confused, or scared about their health.
